The cover of Science Magazine!
Birkeland Centre for Space Science on the cover of Science Magazine with our illustration!
Science is one of the most recognized scientific journals in the natural sciences. There is intense competition among researchers from all over the world to have their scientific results published. Of more than 30.000 submitted papers each year, only around 2.700 are published in Science. Promotion on the cover page is even more prestigious; Each week the Chief Editor of Science chooses only one scientific result that he would like to promote on the cover page of the printed journal.
We are incredibly happy that our client, Birkeland Centre for Space Science are experiencing a high degree of interest for their research on gamma rays resulting from ligthning flashes and that our visualization of the phenomena can contribute to better science-based communication!
You can read more about the phenomena and the science behind it at Science Mag.

The Argentum Conference 2019
More women in finance and more female entrepreneurs!
The theme for the 2019 Argentum Conference was “How do we get more female entrepreneurs and investors?“
An important topic that was both highlighted and exemplified during the conference.
The conference turned out to be very popular, attracting far more participants than expected. Luckily, there was room for everyone and it turned out to be an exciting and eventful afternoon.
We had the pleasure of developing the conference profile in the shape of a bold female superhero that were used for the invitation, attendee passes, supers and her very own animation.
You can read more about the conference at Argentum.

The Birkeland Centre for Space Science - Animation
Visualizing the research that answers why northern lights and southern lights almost always appear different.
In recently published research, scientists from the Birkeland Centre of Space Science at the University of Bergen can finally provide answers on how assymetries between northern lights and southern lights are formed, and also how they disappear.
The answers behind these phenomena are both surprising and a ‘big deal’ in terms of how we understand Geospace and the relationship between the Earth and the Sun.
We had a great experience working with the scientists at BCSS, first to truly understand the phenomena and the science and second to use our skills to convey these largely invisible forces visually in a way that would make sense to both fellow scientists and the population at large.
The press release with the publications and the animation have been picked up by more than 30 media outlets, you can visit The University of Bergen, ScienceCodex, American Geophysical Union or Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet to learn more.

Miljøløftet - Animation
Bergen is growing!
In 20 years we will be 30 000 more people in Bergen, Norway and the transportation needs of the public will have increased with almost 100 000 travels each day. This has to be handled in an environmentally friendly and smart way.
“Miljøløftet” (the “environmental promise”) is the name of the new agreement handling both city growth in Bergen as well as road tolls.
Miljøløftet is a collaborative effort between the state, the county, the municipality and the individual citizen. The next 20 years will see investments close to 30 billion NOK.
To explain the details in this enormous endeavor we have created an informative animation based on design from our good friends in Haltenbanken .

University of Bergen - MSc teaching
Norway needs more talented teachers!
For the University of Bergen we have made an animation about their masters degree program for becoming a teacher.
The target audience are those who have completed mandatory school and may have decided a career path in education.
For budding students there are a lot of study programs and universities to choose from, and UiB wanted to show how their program will ensure the students receive both practical and theoretical experience as well as thorough mentoring throughout the program.
Highlighting Bergen as a terrific place to live and study ofcourse comes natural to us and we also felt it was important to convey the importance of motivated, engaged and competent teachers for the future of Norway.
The film was also versioned for a Snapchat campaign. In time of writing some 40.000 views on YouTube.

K Line LNG Shipping UK - Website and film production
The shipping company that puts people first.
As a part of Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd from Tokyo, Japan, K Line LNG Shipping UK is an LNG shipping company headquartered in London.
The company has a fleet of 10 modern LNG vessels and is a highly promising company with solid contracts and a wide range of nationalities represented among their employees, both at sea and onshore.
In Mount Visual we have worked with K Line LNG Shipping UK through the better part of 2017, being fortunate enough to be invited to sail with one of their vessels to produce films and photography onboard.
We have also designed and developed their brand new website where we utilise a range of the photos as well as the films that we shot onboard. All of us have read and heard about companies who say they put people first and who has collaboration between their people as one of their values. K Line LNG Shipping UK is different however.
Experiencing someone who works so tirelessly, as purpose oriented and dedicated on improvement with all of their employees – from messboy to managing director – has for us been a truly unique and rewarding experience.
As a client K Line LNG Shipping UK has been very clear on their communication goals and ambitions for the future. We remain both grateful and inspired and look forward to continuing our collaboration.

Human Innovation - Film production
DesignArena becomes Human Innovation
With our good friends in Haltenbanken we were given the task of producing a little film to celebrate the change.
The film tells the story of the challenges we face as a society, how the cluster will work to solve these challenges as well as showing examples of existing solutions from the member companies.
Archive footage is mixed with hand drawn animation to give the film a human touch and playful feel. The film premiered at Bergen Design festival 2017.
If you want to learn more about the changes in DesignArena you can follow this link in Norwegian.
A big thanks to Øyvind Vie Berg in Kremlyd for great music, as well as to Myrna Braza & TomTom for engaging voiceover work.

EcoSubsea - Film production
Ambitious technology entrepreneurs
With a shared client in Wallenius Wilhelmsen, it didn’t take long for us to hit it off with the brothers Tor and Klaus Østervold, and their enthusiasm and strong belief in the technology they have developed was soon shared by everyone in Mount Visual.
With very promising results from Wilhelmsens fleet and a technology that is positioned well in front of any competitors, we strongly think EcoSubsea will be one to watch for the future.
We got to 3d visualise the technology and interview the two passionate brothers. In Mount Visual we are very thankful for a fun and educational process in producing this film.
